Sports Team Management Global Racing Mountain Bike Team

23 Degrees Sports Management S.L. works in two ways in the Sports Team Management area. Firstly it can create, own and operate teams in a chosen sport with the view to improving such teams to be leaders in their respective sport. Secondly, it can operate teams for third parties whereby a company or sponsor has the wish to own a team and have it operated by an experienced third party such as 23 Degrees and meet certain objectives.

In the first year of operation, 23 Degrees has created and jointly owns with Raykay Incorporated the "Global Racing Mountain Bike Team" which is a team of 9 athletes representing all six inhabited continents on the planet, supported by 9 staff. This unique concept for a team is already proving successful with many excellent results. The philosophy of Global Racing is to achieve more for the athletes than just racing results. The team aims to educate the athletes in media skills, language skills, social skills, as well as further enhance their knowledge on their particular concerns for the planet. Visiting schools and talking to kids all around the world during their international tour further enhances this. The team slogan of "Think Global - Act Local" is an active part of the athletes' existence within the team, which incidentally is made up of 7 different nationalities.

Greg Minnaar on the podium at World Cup #1 in Fort WilliamIn 2004, the Honda Racing Corporation in Japan hired 23 Degrees to manage and run their World Team G Cross Honda Mountain Bike Program, which involved the revolutionary RN01 Honda Mountain Bike. This team is one of the most exciting additions to happen to the mountain bike world in recent times.

Industry knowledge and a network of contacts built up over 15 years of being involved in sport means that 23 Degrees has little trouble identifying excellent team staff.
